Woman killed in accident on I-95 in Maryland

Maryland (October 7, 2012)  A woman was killed in an accident on Interstate 95 in Howard County.  The crash occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning in the northbound lanes of I-95 near Exit 41-MD 175 (Waterloo Road) according to Maryland State Police.

A Toyota 4Runner was towing a trailer when for some unknown reason the trailer became unhitched.  The Toyota pulled over to assess the problem and was hit by a 2010 Acura TL.  Shortly after being hit by the Acura a 2011 Jeep struck the Toyota 4Runner causing both vehicles to ignite.

Sadia Soto was trapped in the Toyota and died at the scene.  A child was pulled to rescue from the Toyota and was taken to John Hopkins Shock Trauma.

The accident is under investigation.
