This sounds similar to a crash of a BLUE MINIVAN I saw on I-95 somewhere in Virginia or Maryland area. It happened RIGHT in front of me – I couldnt believe my eyes. It was in one of those beltway areas where roads converged from all directions and people were all changing lanes – I believe maybe after a toll.

I was in the “slow lane” and thinking of changing over to the left lane (there were more than one lane to the left of me – two or three?) I saw a tractor trailer that appeared to be stopped in the road – suddenly this Blue Minivan ahead of me struck it at an odd angle – as thought they hadnt seen it until too late – and the windshield crumpled like a tissue.

I hope the driver is safe and unharmed. Has anyone reported on this incident?

It occurred Tuesday Oct 18 2011.

I could not safely pull over and I did not have my cell phone handy at the moment so I could do nothing to help at the time.

    I am concerned.
