Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle crash in Philadelphia on I-95 S

Pennsylvania (March 29, 2012)  A 38-year-old woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on I-95 south in Philadelphia.  The fatal crash occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. under the southern portion of the  Spruce Street overpass according to Police.

Nicole M. Sloan was driving her 2010 Honda Accord in the left lane when she was struck from behind by Anthony Taylor,the driver of a Freightliner Box truck.

The impact caused Sloan’s car to travel into the right lane resulting in a tanker truck crashing into her car.  The tanker truck was driven by James Gills.

The victim was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Another driver suffered non life threatening injuries.

The accident involved six vehicles and shut down Interstate 95 south between Exit 22 and Exit 20 for a few hours.
