Florida (December 30, 2011)  One person was killed when a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo rear-ended a tow truck on I-95 in Brevard County. The accident occurred at 10:37 p.m. on Interstate 95 north near exit 212-State Road 407, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A disabled Kia Sportage was pulled over on the right shoulder of I-95 north just past the on ramp, with the three occupants outside the vehicle.  The tow truck was merging onto I-95,  partially on the right shoulder to the assist the stranded motorists when the Isuzu driven by Jazmine Cooper, 19, slammed into the left rear of the tow truck.  The force of the impact sent the tow truck into the right rear of the Kia, striking Mary West, 20, and tossing her onto the shoulder of I-95.  After striking the tow truck the Isuzu spun off the right shoulder coming to rest along the treeline.

Dalton Watson, 21, a passenger in the Isuzu was pronounced dead at the scene.  Cooper was injured and transported to Parrish Medical Center.

West sustained serious injuries and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  The tow truck driver, his passenger and the two other from the Kia were not injured.
